Shike Cattle Company is a 175-cow, club-calf operation
in western Illinois. Daryl Shike has been raising cattle for more than 30 years. His children, David,
Dan and Ellen, are actively involved in the operation. Throughout the
past few years, they have focused their business on producing
top quality club calves.
The Shikes are dedicated to breeding cattle that will
work in the showring or in your breeding operation. The
operation is built on sound structured, complete females
with balance and eye appeal. They match these females to
the top AI bulls in the club calf industry to create
cattle that will work for anyone.
You can trust the Shike family to make your experience a
positive one. Daryl brings volumes of experience and
insight into this club-calf operation. David spent 10
years in the Angus industry, producing high-quality
cattle known for their combination of phenotype and
production traits at Hunter Farm Genetics. For the past
15 years, David has also groomed cattle for shows and
sales at all levels, including numerous national
champions. Dan is a Ph.D. ruminant nutritionist at the
University of Illinois and is actively involved in the
management of the university beef herd. Dan is also the
U of I Livestock Judging Coach and judges cattle shows
at the state and national levels. Together, they bring a
unique mix of experiences to the operation to make it
one you can trust.
Call or stop by anytime, we would love to show you
